At Reignite Support, we understand that travel and transport can be a significant barrier for individuals with disabilities. That’s why we offer Assist-Travel/Transport services as part of our NDIS support services in Adelaide and regional South Australia.

Our Assist-Travel/Transport services are designed to provide individuals with disabilities with the support they need to access transportation services and travel independently. We work closely with our participants and their families to develop individualised care plans that meet their specific needs.

Our Assist-Travel/Transport services include:

  • Providing transportation to and from appointments, events, and other activities. Our Direct Support Workers are trained to provide safe and reliable transportation
  • Assistance with accessing disability-friendly transportation services such as taxis and wheelchair accessible vehicles
  • Providing support with using public transportation, including helping participants to plan routes, understand schedules, purchasing tickets and navigating in unfamiliar environments.
  • Providing accompaniment on trips, including to appointments, events, and other activities, to ensure that participants are safe and comfortable.
  • Supporting with travel planning including researching destinations, booking accommodations, making transportation arrangements and providing accompaniment on trips.

Assuring you a safe, comfortable, and well-trained ride is our top priority at Reignite Support. You can schedule an appointment with us to benefit from our transport service, and our team will handle the rest for you. For a safe journey, we require that Police Checks and Working with Children Checks be valid for all our staff, as are licences and qualifications prior to attending the shift.

The NDIS provides three levels of transport funding for the participants who are unable to drive or access public transport without substantial difficulty due to their disability.

Level 1: This level of funding is applicable for the participant who has a goal towards improving community participation.

Level 2: This level of funding is applicable for the participants who are working or studying part-time (up to 15 hours a week), participating in day programs and for other social, recreational or leisure activities.

Level 3: This level of funding is applicable for the Participants who are currently working, looking for work, or studying (at least 15 hours per week).

If you or a loved one are in need of Assist-Travel/Transport services, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We would be honoured to support you in accessing transportation services and travelling independently.
